About Maureen & Brian

Maureen and Bs. Brian Whitehurst

M & B Ministries is an organisation that was established to take the Gospel to the nations of the world, to teach them, and make disciples. Brian has been teaching the Scriptures for over 25 years in Europe, Africa, Asia, as well as Australia. They also worked together on various crusades whilst   pastoring churches for many years. Then came a change of direction in 2003 to concentrate on missions and teaching. Brian also lectures at the West Australian Bible College and is the Global President of ICAG (International Christian Ambassadors of God).

In providing “food for the soul,” M & B Ministries offer materials for seminars together with informative booklets covering many Christian subjects.

Maureen was born in Manchester and, after school, attended a Manchester Secretarial College. On qualifying she took positions as secretary to various executives and CEO’s before marriage and moved to Australia in 1976. As the pastor’s wife she took on pastoral care and teaching – together with worship leading at the various churches both pastored together. Maureen spent ten years as Administrative Secretary, Telephone Counselling Services with Lifeline WA.

Brian was born in Liverpool and after matriculation embarked on a career in Chartered Accountancy. He spent two years in the Royal Air Force where after failing for aircrew because of poor eyesight, he lectured with the RAF Regiment. On leaving the RAF he gained employment with an English company in Central America, where amongst other things, he lectured for the University of West Indies.

On returning to U.K. he was appointed as a senior executive with a large hygienic services company which eventually asked him to move to Australia where he was appointed Managing Director of the Western Australia Company.

There, Maureen and Brian joined a Brethren church, where he was soon appointed as an elder. Following an encounter with the Holy Spirit, they moved on to a non-denominational church as an assistant Pastor.

In 1980 Brian was ordained in the Assemblies of God. They together founded and pastored three churches. Being heavily committed to evangelism they organised and managed crusades for well-known evangelists, including Bill Newman, Lauren Cunningham. Winkie Pratney, Yongi Cho, Franklin Graham, and others.

In 2003, at the nudge of the Holy Spirit, they retired from pastoring and concentrated on teaching and mission work.

Brian has travelled extensively, covering the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and, of course, Australia and has conducted his seminars in many of those areas. They founded M & B Ministries, Southland Missionary Outreach and the Australian Chapter of ICAG (International Christian Ambassadors of God), of which he is currently serving as Global President. In 2007 Brian was appointed City-Wide Chairman of the Impact World Tour (a WYWAM operation) Brian lectures at the West Australian Bible College.
